UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - He has chaired board meetings, cabinet meetings and starred in a reality television show, but on Wednesday U.S. President Donald Trump will wield the gavel in the United Nations Security Council to denounce Iran for what it sees as its malign regional behavior.

Eight Children Killed by Landmine Explosion in Afghanistan

A group of children in the Faryab province of northern Afghanistan were blown up by a landmine placed near a police station in Shirin Tagab, a town that was recently seized by the Taliban insurgency.
 
The explosion killed eight children and left six others critically wounded; a report by the BBC explains that the victims were playing near the abandoned station when the landmine was triggered.

Trump Lawyer Giuliani Says Iran's Government Will Be Overthrown

 

NEW YORK (Reuters) - President Donald Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani on Saturday said that U.S. sanctions on Iran are leading to economic pain that could lead to a "successful revolution," contrasting with administration comments that government change in Tehran is not U.S. policy.

"I don't know when we're going to overthrow them," said Giuliani, who spoke in his own capacity though he is a Trump ally, at an Iran Uprising Summit held by the Organization of Iranian-American Communities, which opposes Tehran's government.
