Crisis Averted for Now as Britain Back to Sharing Intel with USThe United States is again receiving intelligence from a key ally, putting to rest, for now at least, the latest flap over Washington's handling of sensitive information.

Britain resumed intelligence sharing with the U.S. late Thursday, saying it had received "fresh assurances" after American officials leaked key details of the investigation into the Manchester terror attack to the media.

"While we do not usually comment on information sharing arrangements, having received fresh assurances, we are now working closely with our key partners around the world including all those in the 'Five Eyes' intelligence alliance," said Assistant Police Commissioner Mark Rowley, Britain's top counterterrorism officer.

Trump 'Deeply Troubled' Over Leaked Information in Manchester Blast Probe

President Donald Trump says he is deeply troubled by leaks to U.S. media about the Manchester bombing investigation in Britain and promises an investigation.

Leaked details about the probe, including the bomber's name and police pictures of the evidence, have incensed British investigators. They briefly suspended sharing information with the U.S. Thursday.

"I am asking the Department of Justice and other relevant agencies to launch a complete review of this matter," Trump said in Brussels Thursday.

Sessions Vows to Take Trump Travel Order to Supreme Court

U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions said Thursday that he would ask the Supreme Court to review an appeals court ruling that blocks President Donald Trump's executive order limiting travel to the U.S. from six predominantly Muslim countries.

Sessions issued a statement saying, "President Trump's executive order is well within his lawful authority to keep the nation safe."

"The Department of Justice strongly disagrees with the decision of the divided court, which blocks the president's efforts to strengthen this country's national security.
