National Weekend Weather Outlook: 8-19-2017

Heavy rain and flash flooding possible in portions of the Southwest this weekend

An upper-level low in the Southwest U.S. will act as a trigger for thunderstorms this weekend. The area of greatest concern is in New Mexico, southeast Utah and portions of southern Colorado.

Storms will be slow moving and could bring several rounds of rain to the same areas. Rainfall amounts may exceed 3 inches in localized areas.

Oregon Wildfire Causes Evacuations, Closes Roads in Prime Eclipse Zone

Residents of more than 400 homes in a prime eclipse-viewing location in Oregon were ordered to evacuate Friday because of a rapidly growing wildfire that had already closed access to a portion of a wilderness area and a regional highway.

The late afternoon order threatened to create more tie-ups on rural and narrow roads already expected to be burdened with up to 200,000 visitors coming to the area from around the world to watch Monday's total solar eclipse. About 1 million people are expected in Oregon, where the moon's shadow first makes landfall in the continental U.

IBS Symptoms Everyone Should Know About

The frustrating thing about irritable bowel syndrome, or IBS is that the symptoms are non-specific. That means they could be caused by a variety of conditions, and these conditions could be benign or potentially life threatening. Though it makes people miserable and can be astonishingly disruptive to normal life, IBS is not a life-threatening disorder.

When the doctor examines the patient's GI tract, they'll find nothing really wrong.

Time flies when you're having fun. Now you're up into the late hours of the night... every night. Binge watching your favorite tv shows might seem fun at first, but when you start to feel the effects of it, it won't be fun at all.

It's satisfying, but binge-watching doesn't come without consequences.

Risks of Binge Watching

- Insomnia
- Loneliness
- Fatigue
-
Poor eye health
-
Weight gain or Weight loss
-
Depression

Binge watching disrupts your sleep.

Five Reasons Your Feet Are Swelling

Millions of people around the world will experience swollen feet during their lifetime. There are many causes that can cause your feet to swell.

The most common reasons are weight gain, an infection, a circulation disorder, wearing tight shoes and being on your feet for too long.

Weight Gain

Your feet could be swelling if you've recently gained weight.

The Safest Way to Watch an Eclipse

While solar eclipse can certainly be a fascinating thing to watch if you are lucky enough to catch it when it happens, you have to make sure that you are watching it the right way. If you aren't careful about how you choose to observe the solar eclipse, the consequences could be quite unpleasant.

Solar eclipses invite the possibility to harm your eyes from UV rays due to the fact that you aren't as immediately compelled you to look away in the absence of bright light.

Online Companies Bar Far-right Groups They are being booted off or locked out of their websites. Some can no longer blog. Their electronic payment systems are being canceled. Even their music can't be heard.

For some white supremacist and neo-Nazi groups, operating online has become much harder in the wake of last week's "Unite the Right" protests in Charlottesville, Virginia, that resulted in violent clashes between extremist groups and counterprotesters.

On Thursday, the Daily Stormer, a neo-Nazi and white supremacist news site and one of the organizers of last weekend's demonstrations, was ejected from a Russian internet domain provider that was hosting its site.
