(Reuters) - One lucky winning ticket was sold in Pennsylvania for an estimated $455 million Powerball jackpot drawn Saturday night, officials said.

Republicans to Trump: Let Mueller Do His Job

By Susan Cornwell and Doina Chiacu

Storms Move East as the Weekend Comes to a Close

A chilly Saturday night for most will give way to an unsettled day for the central and southern portions of the U.S. with snow passing into the Central Plains as storms once again threaten areas in the Deep South.
The chance of tornadoes is increasing as moist, humid air from the Gulf of Mexico is pushing north into areas of the southern states across Sunday and Monday in the traditionally affected areas of Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and Louisiana; heavy snow will also be seen on Sunday in the Central and Northern Rockies as the storm passing into the east shows increasing signs of becoming the latest Nor'easter to strike the Northeast.

PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, Russia (Reuters) - Russians began voting in a presidential election on Sunday set to give Vladimir Putin a commanding victory that could only be blemished if large numbers do not bother taking part because the result is so predictable.

On Russia's eastern edge, in the Pacific coast city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, polling stations opened at 2000 hrs GMT, and voting across the vast country will run until polls close at the westernmost point, the Kaliningrad region, 22 hours later.

Storms Push Across the U.S. From West to East

The weekend will see a major storm system moving slowly across the U.S. from the Northwest of the nation pushing into the Southeast which will bring more chances of damaging severe weather to the South and Southeast.
Gusty winds and heavy rain will fall close to the coast of the Gulf of Mexico which will eventually bring a chance of severe weather and tornadoes on Sunday to portions of the Central Plains and Deep South; the weather system bringing snow and rain to the western portion of the country on Saturday is now being monitored for the possibility of becoming the fourth Nor'Easter to strike the Northeast over the last two weeks by the middle of the coming week.
