DUBAI/RIYADH (Reuters) - Saudi Arabian security forces said they had shot down a recreational drone in the capital on Saturday after online videos showing gunfire in a neighborhood where royal palaces are located sparked fears of possible political unrest.

North Korea Says Will Stop Nuclear Tests, Scrap Test Site

SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korea said on Saturday it would immediately suspend nuclear and missile tests, scrap its nuclear test site and instead pursue economic growth and peace, ahead of planned summits with South Korea and the United States.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said his country no longer needed to conduct nuclear tests or intercontinental ballistic missile tests because it had completed its goal of developing the weapons, the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said.

Stormy Weather Pushes Across the Deep South and Southeast

The Winter storms of recent weeks seem to have come to an end with just a few more focused areas of Winter weather still popping up in the Northern Plains and Midwest in the coming days but the majority of storms are now being seen popping up across the Deep South and Southeast.
Across Saturday night, storms will pass into the eastern portion of Texas and on into Arkansas and Louisiana as the weather system remains focused on a southeasterly track which will continue into Tuesday when the rain will largely be found in an area across the Southeast with a number if storm chances possible in the Deep South and Southeast across the coming days.

Syracuse University Expels Fraternity over 'Racist, Sexist' Video

(Reuters) - Syracuse University has permanently expelled a fraternity after a video surfaced this week showing its members using racist and offensive terms in a skit the chapter said was satirical, a school official said on Saturday.

The university's chapter of Theta Tau, an engineering fraternity, has been barred immediately from campus, Chancellor Kent Syverud said in a video statement posted to the university website.
