WASHINGTON (Reuters) - California professor Christine Blasey Ford has agreed to testify before a Senate panel on Thursday morning about her sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, her lawyers said on Sunday.

Eight Children Killed by Landmine Explosion in Afghanistan

A group of children in the Faryab province of northern Afghanistan were blown up by a landmine placed near a police station in Shirin Tagab, a town that was recently seized by the Taliban insurgency.
 
The explosion killed eight children and left six others critically wounded; a report by the BBC explains that the victims were playing near the abandoned station when the landmine was triggered.
