Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said Saturday he hopes Beijing's relationship with Washington will not be interfered with or damaged after U.S. President-elect Donald Trump's telephone conversation with Taiwan's President Tsai Ing-wen.
China's foreign minister characterized the conversation as "just a small trick by Taiwan."
China claims democratically ruled Taiwan as part of its territory and has never renounced the use of military force to bring the island under Beijing's control.

Directly across the street, in front of the Prada store, a few news crews were stationed at the curb for their live shots, as reporters waited out the rain under their umbrellas.
