Trump Jr. Met Gulf Princes' Emissary in 2016 Who Offered Campaign Help

 

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Donald Trump Jr., the U.S. president's eldest son, met in August 2016 with an envoy representing the crown princes of United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

The meeting was first reported by the New York Times on Saturday and confirmed by an attorney representing Trump Jr.




Weinstein Accuser Argento Warns Others at Cannes

 

CANNES, France (Reuters) - Italian actress Asia Argento, who has accused movie mogul Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault, told the closing ceremony of the Cannes Film Festival there were abusers in the audience who had yet to be outed.

Argento, one of the women quoted in Ronan Farrow's New Yorker article in October, said Weinstein raped her during the Cannes festival in 1997 when she was 21.

Hawaii Lava Flow Engulfs More Homes as Ash Plume Ascends

PAHOA, Hawaii (Reuters) - New, fast-moving lava poured from the flank of Hawaii's Kilauea volcano on Saturday, destroying four more homes on the Big Island after a second explosive eruption shot a nearly two-mile-high (10,000 foot) ash plume from the crater.

Molten rock from two huge cracks formed a single channel and traveled 1,000 feet in under an hour, twice the speed of previous flows of older lava that have torn through homes, roads and tropical forest for over two weeks, the County of Hawaii's Civil Defense Agency said.
