U.S. election will be Nov. 3 as planned, Trump advisers sayThe White House and Donald Trump's campaign on Sunday sought to shut down the Republican president's musings on delaying the 2020 vote, saying there will be an election on Nov. 3.
White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows said Trump was raising concerns about mail-in ballots when he floated the idea of delaying the U.S. vote.
"We're going to hold an election on November 3 and the president is going to win," Meadows said on CBS' "Face the Nation.
Isaias continues to batter the East Coast
The slow movement of Isaias will see its effects last into the coming week for much of the East Coast.
The storms has labored between a tropical storm and a hurricane with Monday forecast to bring tropical storms strength winds to the coastal regions of Georgia and the Carolinas. Rain and storms will cover the majority of the East Coast with a band of severe weather developing in the interior of the Mid-Atlantic and extending into the lower Northeast.

Storm Isaias nears Florida's east coastIsaias, downgraded from a hurricane but still a powerful tropical storm, churned close to Florida on Sunday, set to brush the state's east coast with strong winds, drenching rain and potential coastal flooding.
By 8 a.m. (1200 GMT), Tropical Storm Isaias was about 40 miles (70 km) east-southeast of West Palm Beach, heading northwest with top sustained winds of 65 miles per hour (100 kph), the National Hurricane Center (NHC) said.
On its current path, Isaias will move near or over Florida's east coast during Sunday, the Miami-based NHC said.
Pelosi says she has no confidence in White House coronavirus adviser BirxU.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said on Sunday she does not have confidence in White House coronavirus task force coordinator Dr. Deborah Birx, linking her to disinformation about the virus spread by President Donald Trump.
"I think the president has been spreading disinformation about the virus and she is his appointee so, I don't have confidence there, no," Speaker Pelosi told ABC's "This Week" when asked if she has confidence in Birx.
Birx, asked about Pelosi's comment during an interview with CNN's "State of the Union," said she had great respect for Pelosi and attributed the criticism to a New York Times article on the White House pandemic response that described Birx as having embraced overly optimistic assessments on the virus.
Isaias weakens to tropical storm, likely to strengthen as it aims for Florida's east coastIsaias weakened slightly to a tropical storm on Saturday after lashing the Bahamas, but forecasters warned it would likely grow into a hurricane again overnight as it approaches coronavirus-stricken eastern Florida.
Isaias, which was moving northwest off the Bahamas' Andros Island with maximum sustained winds of 70 miles per hour (110 kph) on Saturday evening, was projected to cause dangerous storm surge along Florida's Atlantic coast through Sunday and to move up the U.
