Special Counsel Investigation Could Yield More Indictments

Now that the midterm Congressional and gubernatorial elections are over in the United States, the Office of Special Counsel can return to the many cases it is handling with regard to alleged Russian interference in the 2016 presidential elections, possible obstruction of justice by President Donald Trump, reported campaign finance violations, and purported money laundering by some units in Trump's business empire.

Although Special Counsel Robert Mueller is not in the practice of issuing press releases, criminal indictments are court matters of public record, which Mueller avoided ahead of the midterm elections to avoid political conflicts; however, he is now in the clear, and a recent report by ABC News suggests that criminal charges could be filed against Jerome Corsi, a man who has worked with political operative Roger Stone, a close confidant to President Trump.

The Special Counsel is also expected to file an extensive report about his investigative work thus far, but this may be getting held up by Paul Manafort, a former Trump campaign manager whose cooperation with prosecutors has not been as forthcoming as they hoped.

Manafort is facing a decades-long prison sentence that could be reduced by his cooperation with the Special Counsel, but it may come at the cost of putting President Trump in a very uncomfortable situation.

Mexico's President Elect is Actively Selling Presidential Aircraft

A special Boeing 787-8 equipped with a luxurious bedroom, gourmet kitchen and an office is currently being sold by President Elect Andr?Manuel L? Obrador of Mexico.

The socialist leader, who will take office in early December, has promised a new era of frugality that includes foregoing maintenance of the presidential jet, which costs more than $24 million in annual maintenance.

The President Elect has mentioned the sale on various interviews, and he has promised to deliver the plane to the buyer himself. Like many other Latin American presidents, Lopez Obrador plans to fly commercial during his mandate.

U.S. President Blames Wall Street Plunge on Political Opponents

For United States President Donald Trump, high stock valuation on New York Stock Exchange and the NASDAQ is indicative of a good administration, so it is not surprising to find him posting Twitter updates blaming Democratic Members of Congress on the current state of the Dow Jones Industrial Average.

A 400-point Dow loss on Monday is being evaluated by market analysts as a sign of investors taking profits and predicting the end of a bull run that has not stopped since about 2012; nonetheless, Trump seems to think that the Special Counsel investigation and his political opponents are responsible for losses on Wall Street.

Seattle Could Soon Get NHL Franchise Team

Sports investors in Seattle are confident that a gleaming arena built to National Hockey League standards will be completed just in time for the 2020 season.

The KeyArena project is undergoing extensive renovations, and investors wish to speed up the process to avoid having to play in other hockey rinks in the interim.

Seattle lost the Supersonics NBA franchise a few years ago, and the city is at risk of losing the Seahawks NFL franchise after the death of owner and tech billionaire Paul Allen, thus making the NHL franchise potential more pressing.
