VueTOO Q&A

Q: How do I find and add a Weather Radar to MY page that is not listed under the Weather drop-down menu?

A:  The best way to find a Weather Radar for your area is to go to the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA) and locate your area's weather radar LOOP.  Right + Click on the image and COPY the Image Link... Paste the link and use "Embed Audio/Video".

Q: What is the best way to find Traffic Cams for my City? The best way to add them?

A:  Each State has it's own Department of Transportation (DOT) website... Locate that using Google or another search engine.  There will be a section for "Traffic Cameras" and that will generally display a map with icons on it... when clicked, an image will appear for that location's traffic camera.  Right + Click on the image and COPY the Image Link... if it is a STATIC image, use "Link to an Image"... if it is a VIDEO, use "Embed Audio/Video".  Keep in mind that your local news stations might have links to traffic cameras as well.

Q: If I want to keep an eye on my Stock Portfolio, what is the "Link" option to use? The best "Vue"?

Q: I want to keep an eye on the Economy - what is the best way to do this?

A:  There are several ways to keep an eye on the Economy, and it all depends on what PART of the economy you're looking for.  There are several good sites that have RSS Feeds that keep you up to date on the latest economy news, such as Yahoo! and MSN Money.  There are also several good Finance pages that will keep you up to date, such as Yahoo! Finance. The best way to use these are to find the RSS Feed for your favorite site (either via an Orange RSS Symbol, or "News Feeds"), follow the link, and then copy the feed webpage address.  Use "Link to an RSS Feed".

Q: I have multiple Social Networking accounts - is there a way to Vue them all at the same time, and have them all be active webpages?

The first thing you need to do is to add the web address to your content ("Add Content") as a "Link to a Web Page (Absolute)".  This will link to the ACTUAL page.  Then, use the "Pop Vues" to bring the social networking site to the fore (large vueing pane to the right of the screen).  This allows the page to be ACTIVE and you may navigate throughout the networking site without ever leaving your VueTOO!

NOTE:  You will need to switch your "Pop Vue" to activate a separate networking page.

Q: Where do I find RSS Feeds? Is there a special Icon for them? What type of sites normally have them?

Most News pages and Local News pages have a link to RSS Feeds on the main page.  They are recognizable by an orange symbol that looks like a rounded square with white arcs.  When you follow the RSS Feed Link, you will be taken to a page with several different topics... choose the one that works best for you, copy the link, and paste it into the "Add Content" area, as a "Link to an RSS Feed".
