EXTREME NORTHWESTERN FULTON COUNTY IN EASTERN NY.
* UNTIL 245 PM EDT
* AT 213 PM EDT.NATL WEATHER SVC DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO 20 MILES
SW OF LAKE PLEASANT.OR 19 MILES NO. OF LITTLE FALLS.
MOVING EAST AT 30 MPH.
* THE TORNADO WILL BE NEAR.
LAKE PLEASANT.WELLS.SACANDAGA CAMPGROUND & MOFFITT BEACH
CAMPGROUND BY 245 PM EDT.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS.
THE SAFEST PLACE TO BE DURING A TORNADO IS IN A BASEMENT. GET UNDER A
WORKBENCH OR OTHER PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE. IF NO BASEMENT IS
AVAILABLE.SEEK SHELTER ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF THE BUILDING IN AN
INTERIOR HALLWAY OR ROOM SUCH AS A CLOSET. USE BLANKETS OR PILLOWS TO
COVER YOUR BODY & ALWAYS STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS.
IF IN MOBILE HOMES OR VEHICLES.EVACUATE THEM & GET INSIDE A
SUBSTANTIAL SHELTER. IF NO SHELTER IS AVAILABLE.LIE FLAT IN THE
